Before first use, be sure to clean and place in boiling water for 5 minutes. Pull the nipple through the bottom of the collar until it snaps in place. Screw collar onto the top of the bottle until it feels secure. Assembly is complete and the bottle is ready for feeding. When feeding baby, place cap onto the bottom of the bottle to avoid losing.
'NO MO' SPLASH' Bottle Brush Care
Detach brush heads from the handles, clean with warm, soapy water. Place in a bowl of boiled water for 5 minutes and sterilise. Attach brush heads back on handles & it's ready to use!
Check product condition regularly & replace if these products show any signs of damage. Do not store near any sharp objects. Do not use this product for anything other than its intended use. Store in a cool, dry place and avoid direct sunlight.
How do I choose the right bottle?
You can generally find baby bottles in smaller sizes 120ml (4-5 ounces) and larger sizes 240ml (about 8-9 ounces).
Newborns take in only a couple of mls at a time, but babies ramp up their eating quickly, so going straight for the bigger bottles could save you money in the long run.
We have specially designed our baby bottle range to suit all stages, newborn, infant and toddler.
Bottle Cleaning & Sterilising
How should I clean my bottles & teats?
You need to clean and sterilise all bottle parts, teats, collar, lid & bottle.
Separate all parts of the bottle and pull the teat out of its collar.Use hot water and dishwashing detergent. Clean all areas of the bottle with a No mo’ splash bottle brush, including the thread where the cap screws on.Remove any milk still sitting in the teat or the hole with our No mo’ splash bottle brush. Squeeze hot, soapy water through the teat hole, then do the same with clean water to rinse the teat. Make sure to rinse the bottles and equipment well. Sterilise all parts of the bottle.
How do I sterilise my bottles & teats?
There are 3 ways to do this: boiling, steam sterilisation and chemical sterilisation. It is important to note that our bottles are heat resistant up to 110° and if the bottle is exposed to a higher temperature this may cause deformation of the bottle.
If you’re breastfeeding and only need to sterilise a bottle occasionally, the boiling method may be good enough. It’s also cheaper than buying a steam steriliser. If you’re expressing and/or bottle feeding, then a steam steriliser might be the best option.
Boiling (Heat resistant up to 110°)
Place all the equipment in a large saucepan and cover with tap water. Check there are no air bubbles inside bottles. Place the lid on the saucepan and bring to the boil. Boil for five minutes, making sure that the pot doesn’t boil dry and melt the equipment. Turn off the heat and let it cool. Allow to air dry.
Steriliser (Heat resistant up to 110°)
Electric steam sterilisers are quick and efficient, taking 8 to 12 minutes, plus cooling time. Many steam sterilisers can hold up to six bottles at a time, and have a rack for smaller items such as teats and dummies at the top. Make sure bottles, teats and other equipment are placed with their openings face down.
Chemical
For chemical sterilisation, you will need to use a solution of water and a chemical made specifically for baby bottles, teats and accessories. Follow the directions provided by the manufacturer. Chemical sterilisation may fade the bottle markings over time.
Why do I need to sterilise my baby’s bottles?
Babies have immature immune systems so they aren’t strong enough to fight off a range of infections. One important way to support them in staying healthy is to reduce the chances of their getting sick in the first place.
Milk is the perfect medium in which bacteria can grow. This is why it’s important to sterilise all feeding equipment and keep formula cold until just before feeding your baby.
My bottle is leaking?
Check the following:
The teat is securely inside the teat collar, ensuring that all edges of the silicone teat are overlapping the ring on the top. Check inside the teat collar that the silicone teat is secure on the inside of the ring. Ensure the teat and collar are clean and free from any leftover milk residue. When securing the teat collar on the bottle, ensure that when you twist it on, it is correctly sitting on the threads of the bottle. Don’t over tighten the teat collar, as the extra pressure from inside the bottle can cause it to leak.
Bottle & Teats Care
How often should I change my Teat?
It is recommended that teats are changed at least every 2 months and changed immediately if they're damaged, weak or bitten by little teeth.
How often should I change my Bottle?
Bottles should be replaced every 4 months and changed immediately if you see any cracks, chips or breaks.
How often do I know if my baby needs to change teat size?
Signs that your baby is ready to move onto a teat with faster flow:
Does your baby take longer than 20 minutes to finish a feed?
Fall asleep during a feed?
Tug at the teat while feeding?
These are all signs that your baby is ready.
What happens if my bottle turns cloudy? Is this normal?
Yes, with use, PP bottles can become cloudy. This does not affect the performance of the bottle, nor does it mean the bottle isn't clean.
Maybe give this a go?
WHITE VINEGAR – Soak bottle in a 50/50 mixture of white vinegar and water, and then rinse with cold water. Many stains will disappear following this procedure, which can also eliminate odours. BAKING SODA – Juice stains may be removed by putting baking soda and warm water in the bottle and cleaning with a bottle brush. To get rid of the sour-milk smell, fill the bottle with warm water, add a teaspoon of baking soda, shake well, and let it stand overnight.
What does PP mean?
PP is the type of plastic the bottle is made from. It stands for polypropylene.
